Our very first Cape Cod event — a free, alcohol-free morning hike through Shawme-Crowell State Forest in Sandwich. More than 50 people came out to walk the trails, meet the community, and kick off our growing Cape Cod chapter. No fundraising, no pressure — just a good walk and good company.

  • Real connections turned into real partnerships with several local groups on the spot.
  • The weather cooperated, bugs included, even though a washout on the main trail meant a shorter hike than planned.
  • Eric led the group out front, Lesley brought up the rear.
  • Curious Elixirs kept everyone refreshed post-hike, right after a genuine team scramble to relocate cars for the campground’s cleanout stations.
