Our Board

Meet Our Board

Sober & Curious Boston completed its 501(c)(3) transition in December 2025 with a governing Board of Directors in place. These are the people who guide our mission, programming, and growth.

Lesley Delaney Hawkins

President, Board of DirectorsFounder & Executive Director

Lesley “Les” Delaney Hawkins is the Founder and Executive Director of Sober & Curious Boston. After getting sober in December 2024, Les realized she needed not only to rediscover her interests and passions, but also to build a community of people who shared her desire for meaningful connections, new experiences, and a social life that didn’t revolve around alcohol.

A firm believer in the power of community, Les is passionate about creating inclusive spaces where everyone feels welcome and has the opportunity to form genuine connections. She believes that a fulfilling, vibrant social life doesn’t have to revolve around alcohol.

Currently a member of the Institute for Nonprofit Practice’s 2026–2027 Core Certificate Program cohort, Les is further developing her skills in nonprofit leadership and management. Outside of her work with Sober & Curious Boston, she is a sobriety and alcohol relationship coach and continues to pursue training and professional development to deepen her knowledge and support others as they navigate their own relationships with alcohol.

Les lives on the South Shore with her beloved pittie-mix, Lady. She is an avid runner and outdoor enthusiast and is actively involved in the recovery community.

Kevin Reppucci

Treasurer, Board of DirectorsCo-Founder

Kevin first began exploring a sober lifestyle back in 2020. After trying moderation and balance for several years, Kevin finally concluded that alcohol was having a negative impact, not only on himself, but also on the people he loves. As a result, Kevin put alcohol aside for two years and discovered that he felt more energetic, healthier, and the sleep was fantastic. However, he was the only person among his friends and family refraining from alcohol; Kevin’s sober activities like running, reading, boxing, and listening to podcasts, were all done alone, by himself. Feeling increasingly isolated, Kevin began searching online for like-minded people in Massachusetts who shared his interest in living an “AF” lifestyle. After countless searches, he realized there was no readily accessible community offering the activities, connection and camaraderie he was looking for. A few years later, Kevin met Les. It wasn’t long before the two of them started brainstorming about how they could create something for other sober people, or folks curious about sobriety. Something fun. Something social. Something to expand their AF community. Enter Sober & Curious Boston.

Kevin has not touched alcohol since June of 2024. In addition to work and family, Kevin has made physical activity, AA meetings, Service Work, and connecting with other sober people, a high-priority way of life. Kevin lives in Hingham MA with his wife Anya, their two teenagers, and two beloved yet crazy dogs.

Katie McElaney

Director

Katie McElaney knows firsthand how challenging it can be to find meaningful connections and a sense of community in a world where so much socializing revolves around alcohol. While she had already embraced a sober lifestyle, finding opportunities to connect with like-minded people and enjoy new experiences without alcohol was something she had been searching for for years.

In July 2025, Katie attended her first Sober & Curious Boston event—a kayaking adventure on the Charles River—and immediately knew she had found something special. What started as a fun afternoon on the water quickly became something much more meaningful: a sense of belonging, genuine connection, and the community she hadn’t realized how much she’d been missing.

Katie continued showing up to events, building friendships, and becoming more involved with the organization. Inspired by the welcoming and supportive community, she decided to take the next step and apply to join the Board of Directors.

Now a proud board member, Katie is honored to help Sober & Curious Boston grow and create opportunities for others navigating their own sober or sober curious journeys. She believes everyone deserves a place where they can show up as themselves, try new things, build lasting friendships, and experience all the fun and connection life has to offer—without alcohol at the center of it.
